85 years ago today, on March 3, 1931 President Hoover signed a congressional act designating the Star-Spangled Banner as America's national anthem?

The USS Stephen Potter DD598 was named for Ensign Stephen Potter, a naval aviator in World War I.  The ship was commissioned in 1943 and served in the Pacific during World War II, then mothballed until 1951 whereupon she saw service in several areas including the Korean War.  In 1958 she was placed in reserve and scraped in 1973.  Gatherings Plus started working with Bob Hegel and the Potter group many years ago in Branson.  We have been honored to work with them every year since, with reunions...

I had first worked with the 86th Engineer Battalion with Del Moad as planner in 2009.  The the first time was in Branson, the second in Pigeon Forge.  Del was a former Arkansas highway patrolman.  He not only served his country in Vietnam, but the citizens of Arkansas as a patrolman for 30 years.  Because of his service in Vietnam he suffered from various illnesses associated with Agent Orange and passed away last March.  This year we are working...

The Little Bear Association is one of our long standing customers who we look forward to seeing and having fun with each year.  They are more like family than clients.  They have been holding their reunion in Branson each April for many years.  Garry Paris has been the reunion planner all of those years and even with some health challenges, he has continued to do a fantastic job each year planning new and entertaining events.  This year they will be having the reunion at the Radisson Hotel with a...

In the coming days I will talk about our upcoming reunion groups and give a little information on them.  Several of our groups use our service every year, so we feel they are more like family than customers.  We are blessed to be able to work with so many awesome people and look forward to each reunion season!  Our first group this year is April 20 and tomorrow  I will talk about that special group!  Have a good Monday and God Bless our Veterans and Active Duty Warriors!
